35,000+ miles. 19 days. 5 states. Bam.

These past 19 days have been so busy, but awesome at the same time.

To start off this crazy past three weeks Dan and I set out for my parents house in Newberg, OR so we could head to Seattle for our belated honeymoon cruise. On our drive Dan was offered three different positions {finally!}! To make a long story short, we accepted a job offer in Gig Harbor, WA!
So Sunday June 16th we drove up to Seattle very relieved to have a job to look forward to.

The cruise was absolutely amazing. We stopped in Ketchikan, Skagway and Juneau, Alaska, and then one final stop in Victoria B.C. It was so much fun! Here are a few pictures of the trip:

After the cruise there was the problem of getting our things to the pacific NW before our lease ended at the end of the month. We decided the cheapest way to do it would be to head back to Nampa right after our cruise and grab our stuff, all in a quick trip before the Bates reunion.

Monday I was able to meet up with two of my best friends, Erica and Sarah in Salem. Erica left for her mission a week after, so we had to get all the time in we could! It was so much fun to catch up.

Then Tuesday morning we left for Nampa. We spent the next day packing, loading and cleaning then came back to Newberg to drop off our things. The next morning (Friday) we met up with Dan's brother Mike and his family and got a ride with them back {for the last time in a long time hopefully!} to Nampa. We all spent the night at our empty apartment, then the next day we finished the last minute cleaning, dropped of our keys and drove down to Dan's parents house in Utah.

We spent a week there with all of the Bates. It was so great seeing everyone! It was the first time everyone was together since before Dan's mission. That was at least 5 years ago.. Crazy! We were able to have family pictures taken, did lots of catching up, and played lots of games. On the 4th Dan and I headed back to Newberg {while watching lots of fireworks off of the freeway in Portland} and intend to stay put for a while... or at least until we move to Gig Harbor next month. ;)
