Today I'm grateful for extended family.
My aunt is in town for the week, and it made me realize that I wish I knew her better and had been able to spend time with her growing up. But it also made me think about how big of a support system I really do have. I may not know my extended family all that well, but I know that they care about me. I look forward to watching my kids play with their Nana & Papa, Grandma & Grandpa, aunts & uncles and cousins. I love the family system and the built-in support it gives us.
